$50m worth of cocaine seized At Container Terminal. Read more...

The police say an estimated $50 million worth of cocaine was seized during an operation by members of the Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division and the Contraband Enforcement Team of the Jamaica Customs Agency at the Kingston Container Terminal in Newport West, Kingston this morning.

No one was arrested in connection with the seizure.

It is reported that about 1:30 a.m., during security checks, a 40-foot container was searched and two bags containing cocaine weighing approximately 43.9 kilograms were found.
